Withdrawing from Courses
Students may withdraw from courses after the end of the drop-add period but before the posted withdrawal date. Students must withdraw through KnightWeb before the withdrawal deadline, which is published in the Academic Calendar on the Registrar's website. In courses from which they have withdrawn, students receive the grade of 鈥淲,鈥 which does not affect their grade point averages; however, students who stop attending without withdrawing receive grades of 鈥淓.鈥 Cessation of attendance after the established withdrawal date in the semester precludes a withdrawal, and a grade of 鈥淓鈥 is earned. Although withdrawals do not affect students鈥 grade point averages, they can affect hours completed for satisfactory progress requirements and are recorded on students鈥 transcripts. Withdrawing from a course(s) may result in the loss or reduction of federal or state financial aid. Consult with the Offices of Financial Aid or Students Accounts for possible implications before withdrawing. For additional information on academic policies, please see the Undergraduate Bulletin.
