Nutrition for Women's Health

Food is much more than calories, in fact there are millions of molecules of information in every bite of food that you eat! These molecules come into your body, affect how your cells behave and how you feel. Certain foods even have the ability to upregulate certain pathways in the body, turn on and off genes, and influence the way we metabolize hormones. When addressing women鈥檚 health issues with nutrition, often the focus is on hormones. Hormones dictate everything from the way we look and feel, to what our mood is and what diseases we get. Foods contain certain chemicals that can influence how quickly we excrete certain hormones, as well as how much of an influence certain hormones have on our system. We can use foods to support our natural hormonal rhythms, or even to shift our hormones into balance when they are out of whack. Come learn the different ways to support balanced hormonal rhythms with food and lifestyle changes!
