Please join us in Congratulating Bob Ames, Associate Vice President of Facilities & Planning for winning the inaugural State University Construction Fund (SUCF) Excellent Partner Award!

Robert Haelen, Senior Vice Chancellor for Capital Facilities and General Manager of SUCF was able to surprise Bob with this announcement in a recent on-site visit. The award recognizes the collaboration between the campus and SUCF and can-do partnership to advance outstanding capital improvements and exceptional facility maintenance in furtherance of SUNY’s mission to provide access to affordable, high-quality education.

Our Facilities team’s progress is evident across campus in projects and ongoing maintenance efforts. The College Green and Milne Library have been on time, budget and scope and Sturges is well underway. Julie Buehler, Vice President of Finance and Administration, commented that she is pleased to see this well-deserved acknowledgment. She said "the collaborative relationship between �鶹��ý�Ŷ� and SUCF is strong and with Bob’s assistance, she looks forward to seeing the positive momentum and results continue".

On behalf of the Division of Finance and Administration, we are very pleased to announce the internal promotion of Tom Underwood to Director of Procurement & Central Services following Becky Anchor’s recent retirement. We are appreciative of Becky’s leadership in procurement over the years and the high level of service she maintained, and we are confident that Tom’s leadership will continue to meet that high standard.

Tom is a 21-year veteran of �鶹��ý�Ŷ�, won the 2018 Joanne Fazioli SUNY Procurement Award, led the implementation and rollout of the SUNY-wide initiative for the Jaggaer eProcurement system (locally called KnightSource) now utilized by over 18 campuses. He was also part of the purchasing group that was awarded the SUNY University Award for Systemness Innovation in 2013.
