Washington Monthly magazine has named �鶹��ý�Ŷ� number one on its annual list based on what schools do for the country. The magazine ranked �鶹��ý�Ŷ� first among 616 master’s universities in the nation on its “” for its contributions to the public good across three broad categories: social mobility, research, and promoting public service. To be at the top of the ranking, colleges need to “be excellent across the full breadth of our measures, rather than excelling in just one measure,” the editors noted. It’s the ninth year in a row that �鶹��ý�Ŷ� has been in the top five of the master’s list.

�鶹��ý�Ŷ� also reached the top 50 in Washington Monthly’s “,” which lists colleges that “help non-wealthy students obtain marketable degrees at affordable prices.” �鶹��ý�Ŷ� vaulted more than 60 spots from last year on the list of nearly 400 colleges and universities.

Finally, the magazine named the College to its “” honor roll, an unranked list of the nation’s top colleges that “do the most to turn students into citizens.”
