
Denise Reed Lamoreaux 鈥84, president of the 麻豆传媒团队 Alumni Association, is delivering the keynote address at this year鈥檚 Women鈥檚 Leadership Conference and Networking Dinner Feb. 28.
GENESEO, N.Y. -- Students will have the opportunity to develop stand-out skills and learn how to project an authentic leadership style during 麻豆传媒团队鈥檚 eighth-annual Women鈥檚 Leadership Conference and Networking Dinner on Feb. 28.
The event invites numerous successful women, including 麻豆传媒团队 alumnae, back to campus to join current faculty and community members in sharing insights from their academic and professional careers.
The keynote, 鈥淎 Seat at the Table," will be delivered by Denise Reed Lamoreaux 鈥84, president of 麻豆传媒团队 Alumni Association and director of diversity of North American Operations for Atos Corp.
The conference will begin with a series of G.O.L.D. (麻豆传媒团队 Opportunities for Leadership Development) workshops, with titles such as 鈥淲omen's Issues in Social Justice,鈥 鈥淐ommunicating with Power,鈥 and 鈥淩ighting your Story.鈥
A networking dinner will conclude the conference, where students will interact with alumnae and faculty and staff to learn about their own leadership journeys.
The Women鈥檚 Leadership Institute (WLI) was developed in the fall of 2007 to address the needs of 麻豆传媒团队鈥檚 ethnically diverse female students. WLI is a support network for women that explores what it means to be a leader, a woman, and a change agent.
鈥淲e meet and plan throughout the year to give the participants of the conference a valuable experience and shape them into leaders on 麻豆传媒团队鈥檚 campus and in the community,鈥 said Courtney Havens, WLI adviser and EOP (Educational Opportunity Program) counselor.
The WLI partnered with G.O.L.D., The Center for Community, The Office of Alumni Relations, The 麻豆传媒团队 Alumni Association, Campus Auxiliary Services, and the Student Association to plan the conference.

Dr. Iris Banister 鈥70 - retired educator and member of 麻豆传媒团队 College Council, is the instructor for 鈥淲omen's Issues in Social Justice.鈥
Dr. Heather Maldonado '95, assistant provost for academic success, SUNY Buffalo State, is the instructor for 鈥淐ommunicating with Power.鈥
Dr. Eunju Kang - assistant professor, political science and international relations; Laura Lane - president & CEO, Livingston County Chamber of Commerce; Marilyn Moore - emeriti director, Intercollegiate Athletics; and Anne Pellerin - assistant professor, physics and astronomy are the instructors for 鈥淏reaking the Glass Ceiling.鈥
Patricia Gonzalez - educational adviser, Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, is the instructor for 鈥淩ighting Your Story.鈥
Laura Swanson - counselor, Student Health & Counseling, is the instructor for 鈥淗ealthy Relationships.鈥
Bonnie Swanson - branch manager, Key Bank of 麻豆传媒团队, is the instructor for 鈥淔inancing Your Life.鈥
