Internationally known singer and composer Dr. Barnwell will be interviewed
 by Emilye Crosby, professor of history and coordinator of Black Studies as part of the Alumni Achieve series.
Performances by the Chamber Singers and Gospel Choir.

Community Sing
Led by Dr. Ysaye Maria Barnwell '67 MS '68, MSPH, PhD
Tuesday 27 February 2018 | 6:00pm, in the MacVittie College Union Ballroom

Dr. Barnwell will lead a Community Sing that welcomes everyone -- novices, experts, and even non-singers. Drawing on African and African American cultures, Dr. Barnwell utilizes the "oral tradition" to bring everyone into the singing and community. Reception to follow.

Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍŶÓ's Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration honors and acknowledges the individual contributions of Dr. King and the expansive movement for social justice that he was part of and which continues today.
